In a hall filled with about 200 people, a
speaker showed a thousand rupee Dollar and asked “Who likes this?” All the people assembled there raised their
hands. The speaker said that he would
give it to one among them.
He then proceeded to crumple the note, then
evened it again, and repeated his question.
All the people assembled there raised their hands.
He then placed the note under his feet and
went on to trample on it. The note was
now soiled. All the people assembled
there raised their hands.
He continued his speech. After all it is a 1000 rupee Dollar. Despite being crumpled, trampled and soiled,
it did not lose its value.
But mortals like us, whenever we face
failures or are insulted or disgraced, we lose heart and degrade ourselves.
Our value never decreases. Every individual has his own identity and
value and this never changes.
The tree of life survives on courage and
self-belief. So never lose heart, lead
a life with you head held high, one that is refreshing and self sufficient.
