M.R Vullimiri Rama Linga Swamy. Indian Medical Scientist. 

In 1921, August 8. Vullimiri Rama Linga Swamy Sir born in Andra. at Siva kulam Village. his Mother- Sundaramma. Father- V Gumpa Swamy. 

 was one of the most Medical Scientist India has Produced Last Century. he received medical education from Andra medical school. and then went on a Scholar ship to The Great Oxford University. he received Doctor of medicine Degrees from Several Universities. He promoting a meaning full synthesis of Laboratory, Clinical Research, Energy mal Nutrition, Iodine Defeciency Disorders, Nutritional Anemia, and Liver Diseases in the Tropics. He was Intrested in Primary Health Care, Infectious Diseases, and Health Research for Development.


In 1994- India was struck suddenly by an out break of Plague. a Technical Advisory Commite on Plague, Established by the Indian Government under the Professor Rama Linga Swamy. reported on the factors responsible for the out break and in the future. the Commite's report, the plague Epidemic in 1994, was submitted to the Government in 1995, and was published in 1996 in a special section of Current Science. His Position- He elected to the National Academic of Science, Russian Academy of medical science, Royal Society of London, Director General of Indian council of medical science, Director General of Indian council of medical research centre, and President of the Indian National science academy. He was Regarded a Teacher of International Repute in the Areas of Nutritional Defeciency. His Wife Misses Praba Rama Swamy Mam also holds a Doctorate. and his Son Vullimiri Jagadesh sir is a Medical Researcher of InterNational Repute.

after his Death .it was a matter of Delight, for all his students and colleagues, when the Indian Government Decided to name the Indian Council of Medical Research building name changed [Ramaswamy Bhavan].
He Died- may 28, 2001.
