India's First Mister Universe

17/11/2013 is the day when he achieved it; an achievement that is not to be written in golden words in Indian History but it deserves something much more than gold and even the most costly gems might not be sufficient to praise what that he had achieved.

Who is he?
What had he achieved?

Of all the states in India, one man from Tamil Nadu and that too from Tambaram, Chennai named Rajendran was crowned as Mister Universe in Hungary on that particular day.

Everyone knows Aishwarya Ray  won Miss World.
But how many people from India know that Tamilnadu has produced  India's  First  Mister Universe?

This is more of an achievement than what Abinav Bindra did while getting the first gold medal `for India in individuals category in shooting competition in Olympics.
Mr.Rajendran did not have the right family background.

He had no money power.
He didn’t get any support from the government.
He couldn’t get sponsors to cover his expenses.

He possessed only the will power and hard work that got reflected in his body power and shape and that is what that had resulted in such an achievement of getting the Mister Universe title.

Abhinav who got Olympic gold medal in the year 2008 could not even get a bronze in the year 2012 as he couldn’t compete with the fresh talents.

‘Kuravar’ tribe in India is known for its shooting skills that is not recognised by our government. If we had done that and had arranged a competition with these people to show case their talents and also to helped them get professional training now we would have been in a position to get at least 30 Gold medals in Olympics in shooting category alone. I got this idea when I was 14 years old and why this has not occurred to the Indian sports authorities and government.

Right from Kuttraleeswaran to Santhi possessed talent that were in the end got fully wasted as we have ecognized them properly and trained them to compete in the world level. What mistake they have done except that they are born in poor families of weak caste background.

When Bruce Lee lived there were more talented Karate masters at that time. But only his name is shown bright in the pages of history because he acted in movies and became famous.

The news about Mr.Rajedran crowned as Mister Universe is covered by most of the news agencies and also covered by most of the TV news channels. Even though many have seen or read about the achievement we have forgotten his achievement.

We Indians have a disease called VPM – very poor memory that too particularly in selective areas like our own people making achievements.

What if Vikram had not become an actor but had tried and attained the crown of Mister Universe?

He promoting a meaning full synthesis of Laboratory, Clinical Research, Energy mal Nutrition, Iodine Defeciency Disorders, Nutritional Anemia, and Liver Diseases in the Tropics. He was Intrested in Primary Health Care, Infectious Diseases, and Health Research for Development.


In 1994- India was struck suddenly by an out break of Plague. a Technical Advisory Commite on Plague, Established by the Indian Government under the Professor Rama Linga Swamy. reported on the factors responsible for the out break and in the future. the Commite's report, the plague Epidemic in 1994, was submitted to the Government in 1995, and was published in 1996 in a special section of Current Science.
